The next morning, Madison told Kat about her impulsive action last night with Dustin. Kat seemed understanding, but seemed pretty concerned for Madison.
“Are you sure that’s something you want to pursue? Seems… sudden.”
“It’s not really something to… pursue. It just happened.” Madison brushed off the things she was feeling. No sense in getting into that. “It was just a momentarily lapse. No biggie. Don’t you have errands to run?”

“Yes. Just… be careful. Don’t leap before you look. You know what I mean?”
Madison assured Kat she was fine .

Kat called Rueben and asked him to come sit with the twins while she ran a couple errands. Madison would keep an eye on them until he got to the house, but Madison had an opportunity at the Police Station and couldn’t be late.

Kat was now the partner at the Diner, as well. Opportunities and promotions, along with some penny-pinching and denying the shopaholic inside her, finally allowed her another step to securing financial freedom for her kids.

Kat stopped at the festival to enjoy the weather. *What is that crazy woman in the bathing suit doing? Does she not realize there is snow on the ground… goofy sim*
Kat’s side won the snowball fight, of course. While she was at the festival, she spotted Bebe on the skating ring. What perfect timing.

A quick stop at Bebe’s house on the way home. Everything she was finding was turning up one dead end after the other.
“Hmmm.” Kat found ripped up piece of paper. “Erin Kenn-” that could only mean one name in this town. Maybe if she dug a bit deeper she’d find the rest of the paper.

Drat! Bebe’s… dad?... busted Kat!
Kat made an excuse that she was stopping by to see Bebe. And, since Bebe wasn’t home, she didn’t stay.

A few minutes later, she lifted the lid on Erin Kennedy’s trash. Ugh, this was dirty business. Surely there was a more dignified way of getting the “dirt” on sims in Sunset Valley!

Kat heard the shuffle of feet in snow and quickly closed the lid. She didn’t even find a tiny little clue!
Sure enough, Erin rounded the corner and promptly invited Kat inside.
It didn’t seem Kat was getting anywhere by digging in all these trash cans!
**********************************************************************

The twins birthday was fast approaching. Kat buckled down at work and focused on spending as much time with Leonidas and Catherine as she could and still do well at work. She did get another promotion. *Um, Kat… what was you promoted too? Are you sure that’s work attire???*

Kat threw the twins a birthday party, but maybe the planning could have gone better. She may have invited a few too many people for such a small home.

Looks like someone hit the bottle a bit early this evening. She does know this is a kid’s party and not a drive thru?!

Happy Birthday, Leonidas!

Aw, it looks like he got his momma’s nose. So cute!

Happy Birthday, Catherine!

Well, we don’t know whose hair she got….

Madison threw Kat’s caution to the wind and spent a good portion of the party flirting with Dustin.

But that didn’t stop her from laughing at him as he walked away. *WTF Madison? LOL*

Once all the party guest left (well, most of them) the twins got makeovers. Leonidas in his spiffy new jammies.

Catherine playing with her IF doll. *Them things are the devil and we’ll be getting rid of them ASAP*

Kat stopped by the Dojo to get a bit more exercise in before heading home. She needed the work out, anyways, but it felt wonderful to work up a sweat in the cold, crisp air.

Of course, once she got home she took care of the twins needs and took a quick nap on the sofa. With the twins sleep schedule being off, she still wasn’t getting a full night’s sleep.

The next morning, she began potty training Catherine.

She left Catherine to play inside the toy box while Kat went and showered and ate. Leonidas was still asleep.

When Leonidas awoke, Kat changed him into his everyday clothes and began his potty training.
Both kids took to the potty training so well, Kat truly felt blessed. She’d heard other mother’s talk about how their tots would kick and scream to not sit on the potty.

Kat headed out for a few errands and Madison took care of the house since the twins were happily playing in their room.

Kat heard about a guy named Seth Westmoore who may or may not be tied to Erin Kennedy. She was getting really sick of digging thru people’s garbage.

Unfortunately for Kat, Seth walked out his door about the time she was breast deep in his bin!
He was pleasant about it though, and welcomed her to come in his house and look around if she wished.

Kat knew it was not the time nor the place, but man… was he a hottie! Why hadn’t she heard that around town?
As much as Kat hated too, she cut the visit with Seth short. She still had to run to the elixir shop and see if they had the job booster potion that Madison asked her to pick up.

As she was leaving, a bold man named Matthew Mathis strolled up to her and introduced himself. Him and his brother, Beau were new in town.

Kat was immediately taken by him. He was attractive in an offbeat sort of way. His confidence and boldness made him even more sexy.
What was with today? She had meet two very attractive men in the span of just a couple hours.

Bold. Very bold. Before long they were both flirting shamelessly with each other. Kat couldn’t tell you who started it because it just seemed so natural.
Kat hated to, but she needed to get home to the twins, but Matthew wanted her to meet his brother before she headed home. They lived just right down the road from the Elixir shop.

Kat was sure she was thrown in some alternate, hottie universe. One look at Beau and her heart skipped about 10 beats. He was gorgeous and looked nothing like Matthew.
Though the long awkward silence after introductions was a bit off putting. She quickly made excuses and left.

When Kat got home, Madison was teaching Catherine how to talk. Kat’s heart swelled. Madison really was a huge help around here. She’d be lost without her dear friend.

Shortly, Madison put the twins to bed and hadn’t said a single word all day that today was her birthday. Kat felt a bad that she had so easily forgotten her best friend’s birthday.

Madison was quite happy and content with her life. She didn’t feel the need to make a big deal out of her birthday, her life was going so well, she couldn’t possible want anything more than exactly what she had….

Except, well… maybe a new hairstyle.
*So it's been decided that Kat will have the final baby, as well. Who do you think she should have her last child with? Seth, Beau, or Matthew? Three very different men, three very different reactions to their introductions... and in the next part, we threw a "man party" and things definitely changed.*
